Malpas JFC have donated old football kit to the children of Bweyogerere Pentecostal Church School, in the Wakiso District of Uganda, North East of Kampala (Uganda's Capital City).
The local population mainly comprises of the urban poor, and the church supports 48 orphans and a 250 pupil school, with help from the New Hope Charity headed by John (Pictured on the home page) and Myra Sloan.
Incomes are very low (For Example a kitchen worker in the community will earn the equivalent of £6.50 per week), and any assistance they can get is very helpful.
As you can see, the boys at the school are very pleased with their "new " kit.
Some of our funraising activity in the future may also be directed to help this African community.
IN CLOSING ALL I WILL ADD IS IF WE LOOK AFTER ALL OUR KIT UNTIL IT IS A LITTLE TOO OLD, THE CHILDREN IN UGANDA WILL GRATEFULLY ACCEPT IT, AND I HOPE WE WILL CONTINUE TO DONATE KIT AND EQUIPMENT TO THEM.
