13/4/10 Boughton 2 - Malpas 6 Duke of Westminster Cup Semi-Final

With a full squad Malpas under 11s travelled to Boughton in the semi-final of the Duke of Westminster Cup.  After a bad bounce had eluded goal-keeper Lloyd Chesters Malpas fought back with a brace from Eddie Thomson and a great individual goal by Josh Charlton saw Malpas go in to the interval 3-1 up. After the break a re-shuffled Malpas side saw Harry Cunningham playing in his familiar role up front as he was rewarded for his excellent play with a further two goals. A dubious penalty allowed Boughton briefly back in to the game which was duly converted only for Sean Moffatt to round off the scoring. Overall an excellent game played in good spirit was enjoyed by all who participated.
The team now head to the final of the cup which is played on Sunday 16th May at Airbus 9am kick off.

WELL DONE TO ALL THE TEAM FOR WINNING ON SUNDAY AND OBTAINING THE TOP OF THE LEAGUE POSITION. A FANTASTIC GAME OF FOOTBALL. TRAINING AS NORMAL MONDAY AT HARD SURFACE

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO MAKE TRAINING FOR WHATEVER REASON. PLEASE LET ONE OF THE COACHES KNOW.

HOME MATCH GAMES - It would be appreciated if ALL parents could assist in the setting up and putting away of equipment before and after the game as the Coaches  have jobs to do before and after the game. Your help in this would be appreciated.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Each week the squad will be selected on Monday evenings at Training.

If you are unable to make training please let me know on 07740 596040 (Mark)

If not selected in the squad please do not be disheartened as we are now playing in a very competitive league. Games will be given to individuals whenever the coaches see fit. 

 The players who are not selected can attend training on Monday evenings to improve their individual soccer skills.

Can all parents of players who attend training ensure match subscriptions are paid.

If you are unsure about any payments please ask to avoid embarrassment.
